This is a collection of 3 variations on the silk theme: silk dupion, silk tissue and silk/cotton mix chiffon.
Silk dupion is woven from 100% silk fibres which are slightly coarse and uneven giving the fabric a bumpy texture. The fabric is medium weight and slightly stiff, it has a beautiful lustrous sheen, does not crease easily and is relatively easy to sew.
Silk tissue is a semi-sheer, 100% fine quality silk. The woven fibres are semi-de-gummed which gives the fabric a slight stiffness.
The two chiffons here are a silk/cotton mix. They are semi-sheer and beautifully soft, making them perfect for floaty garments.
