What to bring:
Please bring your overlocker if you have one, it will more beneficial to learn using your own machine as each one is different. Remember your manual, pedal and accessories (including the toolkit, tweezers, screwdrivers & allen keys). Please email us with details of the make and model of your machine. It should be in good working order.
We can provide you with an overlocker if you don't have one, please let us know in advance.
There is a choice between two patterns, which is included in the cost of the course. To save time before the class, we ask that students cut out their pattern pieces beforehand - we are able to post the pattern out to you or you are welcome to collect from the shop. If attending the two part course this can be done between session 1 and 2 and collected during the 1st session.
We also recommend you either bring with you, or purchase from Ray Stitch, small tools such as pins, a tape measure, unpicker, needles, and thread snips.
Machine buying advice: Unfortunately we don't recommend you purchase the Singer overlocker from Lidl! This is a difficult machine, prone to breaking. If you already own one of these machines, bring it along to your workshop anyway but please let us know in advance here.
