In this class you will cover the following techniques:

  • Thread up your machine
  • Wind on a bobbin
  • Understand stitch tension, length and width
  • Sew straight lines, corners and curves using a seam allowance
  • Cut from a pattern template
  • The art of pressing
  • Hemming

During with workshop you will utilise all your newly learned skills to make a denim Apron that is yours to keep and use forever! You will also take home the pattern and instructions so that you can make many more.

Materials are provided. Please bring with you: A sewing machine and scissors will be allocated to you. We also recommend you either bring with you, or purchase from Ray Stitch, small tools such as pins, a tape measure, unpicker, needles, and thread snips.

(If you would like to learn to sew on your own machine, please bring it along - provided it is less than 10 years old.)
