Linen Shirting - Birdseye Darkest Indigo
A smooth but hardy feeling linen shirting with a 'birdseye' weave where the warp and weft use different coloured threads to create a distinctive weave. The weave isn't super tight because when held up to the light you see little pin pricks, and this means it would be breathable to wear as a shirt, dress or lining. It has a soft drape but is stable to use and so could also be used for curtains and cushions.
65% cotton 35% linen. 156cm wide. Approximately 200gsm/7oz.
Price is per HALF metre. Multiple quantities will be cut as a continuous length.
We advise you to prewash your fabric before cutting in case of any minor shrinkage or dye transfer that may occur. Wash on a 30˚ temperature setting with mild detergent and line dry where possible, ironing on a medium-hot setting.
