Organic Cotton Crossweave - Dobby Spot Garnet/Black
Mediumweight, organic cotton crossweave fabric. This range is woven using a dobby loom to create the embroidered spots, unusually in differing colours on either side. It means that you could utilise the reversibility of the fabric, or just choose which side you prefer. Crossweave is woven with different coloured warp and weft threads that have been dyed before weaving to create an almost chambray or two-tone look. This one is soft but has a very grainy look. Suitable for shirting, dresses, lightweight relaxed trousers, quilting, curtains, linings...
100% certified organic cotton. 120cm wide. Approx 161gsm.

Please note, as this fabric is organic, there may be minor irregularities to the weave, and as organic fabrics are finished in a different way, there may be marks to the surface that should wash off. There can be slight differences between batches owing to the natural organic fibre and this can affect colouration and finish, though we endeauvour to let you know of any major differences. Even though this fabric has been preshrunk we recommend that you prewash this fabric before cutting in case of any minor shrinkage. Wash at 30˚ with mild detergent. Line dry and use minimal tumble drying. Iron on a med-hot cotton setting.
Production notes: Raw material is certified organically-grown from India though location unknown, and spun into yarn in India at a GOTS-certified mill. The cloth is woven on small power looms in a small fair trade community in Kerala, India.
