This three-hour workshop centres on the process of transferring an embroidery design onto fabric, a foundational technique that sits at the heart of hand embroidery. Working with Amelia of Paloma Stitch, you'll learn how to take a motif from paper to linen, then begin stitching your design using the key hand embroidery techniques.
Eight foundation stitches covered include straight stitch, backstitch, stem and outline stitch, split backstitch, chain stitch, satin stitch, French knots, and lazy daisy
You'll take home your work in progress along with Amelia's printed tips and instructions so you can continue at home. Amelia brings her full thread collection to class, with a wide range of colours to choose from.
