What you'll learn
Darning is a traditional method of mending holes by interweaving yarns to reinforce and close up damaged areas. This technique is perfect for extending the life of socks, jumpers, scarves, or any other holey knitted items in your wardrobe.
During the workshop, you’ll:
- Learn the fundamentals of darning and how to apply them to different fabrics
- Choose between visible or invisible mending techniques
- Practice on knitted samplers provided or work directly on your own garments
- Get expert guidance on selecting yarns, tension control, and creating strong, lasting repairs
Materials
All tools and materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own items in need of mending. Refreshments will be available throughout the session.
