This practical, technique-focused session is designed to help you build confidence in your garment making. Working on a series of calico samples, you’ll learn essential sewing skills and professional finishes that will serve you across a range of dressmaking projects.

Whether you're starting to sew garments independently or want to expand your skill set between projects, this class is a great next step after Essential Skills or a beginner dressmaking course.

  • Lapped zip
  • Waistband
  • Bust dart shaping
  • Facing and understitching
  • Applying interfacing
  • Clipping and grading curves

Unfortunately, our classes are non-refundable. Due to small class sizes, transferring to a different date is difficult. If you notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed—please give as much notice as possible.
