European Linen Gingham

100% Linen

150cm wide, 170gsm.

Developed in-house, our collection of high quality, 100% European linen checks. This gingham features two carefully matched colours in a 3mm check.


A perfect weight for garments, quilting, and home furnishings.

About this Fibre

Linen is a natural material with great advantages when used as a fabric for garment making and homeware.

Linen perfectly absorbs humidity and adapts to hot and cold temperatures making it comfortable to wear. It doesn‘t cause any allergic reactions, it is antistatic and doesn’t stain easily.

Our washed Linen has more drape than cotton which makes it a great choice for casual, comfortable garments.

Linen is strong and durable, its good wearing properties will mean that garments last longer.

Linen is easy to wash and naturally dries quickly.

Care Instructions

Wash on 30˚- 40˚ cycle with mild detergent. Line dry if possible. 5% shrinkage may occur on first washing.

Eco Credentials

Linen is a great choice in terms of sustainability and its credential far outweigh those of cotton:

- Flax grows naturally and thrives in the European climate, it typically requires fewer pesticides, herbicides and fungicides than cotton and its growing term is relatively short meaning that far less water is required over the growing period.

- There is very little waste in the production of linen as parts of the plant can be used for consumption and other products.


Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.

If a product is labeled as Oeko-Tex certified it is completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use. To attain Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, the fabric has been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be harmful to human health.
