Product details

Maximum Class Size: 6

Level 4: Intermediate. For experienced garment makers looking to advance their skills.

This comprehensive two-day workshop focuses on developing professional shirt construction techniques through hands-on practice. Working at a steady pace with expert guidance, you'll master the essential skills needed for confident shirt making.

Choose from four contemporary shirt patterns, each offering different construction challenges and technical details. From collars and plackets to cuffs and precise buttonholes, you'll work through each technique methodically, building the expertise to tackle any shirt pattern with confidence.

By the end of the weekend, you'll have developed the technical skills and understanding to approach shirt making as a skilled maker, not just following instructions but truly understanding the construction process.

Booking a class at Ray Stitch entitles you to 10% off everything in-store for one week. Our team is happy to help advise on fabric and supplies for your project.

Skills You'll Gain

The techniques you'll learn depend on your chosen pattern and may include:

  • Professional collar construction with collar stand

Cancellation Policy

Our classes are non refundable. Due our small class sizes it is very difficult to transfer your booking to a different date. If you cannot attend a class and are able to notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, it may be possible to change the date* but this is not guaranteed so please give us as much notice as possible to increase your chances. *Limited to one change only.

If you're running late, please contact us as soon as possible by email. Unfortunately, if you arrive more than 30 minutes after the class starts, we may not be able to admit you as this can disrupt the learning experience for other students.

In the event that we need to cancel a class, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer either a full refund or an alternative booking date.

Age Policy for Classes

At Ray Stitch, we'd love to welcome stitchers of all ages, but to ensure the best learning experience for everyone, we're unable to accommodate anyone under 12 in our workshops.

Young people aged 12-16 are very welcome in our classes but must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) throughout the entire session. The accompanying adult must book and pay for their own space in the class and participate alongside the young person. Students aged 17 and over can attend classes independently.

If you're planning to book for a young person, we recommend emailing us first so we can help guide you to the most suitable class for their age and experience level.
