Product details
This is the paper sewing pattern for the Spindle skirt, a versatile pattern which combines a midi and a mini version.
Both versions have panel seams with topstitching details that highlight the body's natural curves.
It features a clean waist with an internal facing, in-seam side pockets, and a concealed zip at the centre back.
The Midi (V1) is a full circle skirt with a yoke, offering a comfortable fit with an elegant silhouette.
The Mini (V2) includes a front slit. It’s a versatile style that can be worn on its own or layered over trousers.
Skill Level: Intermediate
This pattern includes:
-Paper pattern
-Printed instruction booklet with illustrations
-Access to the step-by-step tutorial video
Sizing: This pattern comes in UK sizes 4 to 18. Chose your size by comparing your body measurements to the chart listed in the images.
Fabric Requirements: We recommend using a mid-weight woven fabric with little to no stretch.
For the midi version you can opt for a soft, drapey fabric for a fluid silhouette, or something with a drier hand for more structure. Suitable options include cotton gabardine, lyocell twill, linen or lightweight wool suiting.
For the mini version, heavier fabrics such as denim or jacquard also work well and bring added structure to the silhouette.
Please allow 5% extra for shrinkage.
Fabric requirements are listed in the images.
You will also need 30cm of lining fabric for pocket bags, some lightweight fusible interfacing, a #3 close ended zip, matching sewing thread and topstitching thread.
