Overlocker Weekend - Make 2 Garments
Maximum Class Size: 6
Level 4: For experienced garment makers looking to advance their skills. This class is designed for confident sewers who are already familiar with using commercial patterns and constructing garments. It’s ideal for those ready to develop their overlocker skills and take on stretch fabric projects with a more professional finish.
This two-day workshop is ideal for anyone looking to build confidence using an overlocker. Whether your machine is gathering dust at home or you’ve had a go and want to develop your skills, this class will help you master the basics and apply them by sewing two simple stretch fabric garments. We recommend starting with something straightforward to build confidence on the first day before moving on to a second project on day two.
You’re very welcome to bring your own overlocker, especially if you’d like to get familiar with its setup and quirks. Just make sure it’s in good working order, and don’t forget the manual, foot pedal, and accessories like tweezers, screwdrivers, and allen keys. Please email us your make and model in advance. If you don’t have a machine, you’ll use one of our Janome 6234XL overlockers in the studio.
